A little digression on the color "Snow"
In the toyger world, cats with a snow color are still quite rare, but you can see them quite often among the Bengals.
What all snows have in common is that they "darken", ie their drawings are light at birth (or sometimes not yet visible) and become darker over time. It can take up to two years for them to fully color. It is very exciting to see how the cat looks a little different again and again during its development - and the light blue eyes of a seal lynx toyger are difficult to evade ...
A distinction is made - analogous to the colors of the Bengal - three forms:
seal lynx point SLP (genetically a "cs, cs" Snow, ie 2x Siamese gene)
The SLP is the lightest of the snows and is usually born completely white or with barely visible markings. Marla from the 2020 litter is an SLP. The drawing only shows up in the course of the first few weeks and almost always begins at the points (nose, ears, paws, tail). SLP have a brown-gray, light brown or yellow-brown markings on a white or cream-colored base color. The unique thing about the SLP is that cats in this color variant always have (ice) blue eyes.
seal mink point SMP (genetically a "cb, cs" Snow, ie 1x Burmese and 1x Siamese gene)
The SMP has a white-cream colored base color and is usually born with a visible, caramel-colored or brown mark, which darkens as it grows. Seal minks have aqua to greenish eyes. Anjuli from the 2019 litter is an SMP.
seal sepia point SSP (genetically a "cb, cb" Snow, ie 2x Burmese gene)
The SSP are the darkest of the Snows and are usually born with a distinct, brown mark. The basic color is cream, the markings are brown to dark brown and the eyes are green or gold.
